    The siggy on this painting recently purchased..

    Tosi
    Josi.
    If its Arturo Tosi it would be a jackpot of sorts. Doubt it.

    I see Tosi as well, but there is no resemblance with Arturo Tosi's work.

    Doesn't matter, because the one on pinterest/RL looks like a real Arturo Tosi with an Italian subject, which is what he painted. I can't find any evidence that he ever painted in New York, and it would be so unlike his other subjects. The technique is different too.

    He mostly painted in and around Bergamo, northern Italy:

    Agree. Which means it couldn't be by Arturo, since he passed away in 1956.
