I'm going to preview for it so I'll be able to tell if its patinated or not.

I think this must be after François Clement Moreau, looks like bronze though.

Thanks. When you say after do you mean after his death this was done?

In this context 'after' means 'in the style of'.

You know it's patinated, that's why the dress is a different color than the flesh. Question is whether it's bronze or composite.

    She is lovely, rink.
It is definitely patinated and there is a hint of colour too. I agree, the siggy is for François Clement Moreau. I hope it is by him too.

Thanks everyone. So since its patinated the sculpture is just painted over with a bronze patina but no actually made from bronze correct?

Most real bronzes are patinated as they come out of the mould looking like bright new pennies, so often are darkened with liver of sulphur to give the usual dark brown patination like the other one you found. The one you are looking at could be real bronze with an applied patination to give these colours. Think Bergmann cold painted bronzes. The best thing to do is handle it. If it’s cold it’s bronze metal, and sounds like metal if you gently tap it, if its room temperature and perhaps has small blown holes then likely bronze resin.
I would ask the seller if you can if it’s foundry cast bronze if you can’t handle it in person.

most probably Hippolyte François Moreau. I wouldn't bother. the round wooden pedestal give it away as post-WWII, although they still used the square nuts in the socle.
furthermore the whole clan showed more excellence at breeding children than at new artistic ideas. they often took subjects from the pre-revolutionary 18th c. like sheperdesses and other country scenes.
