L. Hitchcock White Rocker

Given the stenciled decoration and maker's info on the back of the seat, I would guess these were from, at oldest, the 1950s when "early american" furniture was all the rage.

 

Why would they do the "N's" backwards??? And I DO remember the brand name! Just don't remember the 'N' like that........

 

If I wanted to sell these what would be considered a fair price?

 

I'm sorry, I do not sell anything, much less chairs, so I have no idea. You should look up sold listings of Hitchcock chairs to find ones that look like yours - on whatever sale platforms are available to you. Seeing the actual sale amount is important, since some sellers will try for the moon even when it is not justified by market demand.

I'd sell them as a pair for Mom & her daughter !!...and ask $ 165.....
but that's just an off the cuff call !

$165.00 in my market wouldn't float. Rockers are a tough sale these days.
