20170701_200248.jpg I have never seen something like this. (I have collected jewelry for over 20 yrs) I am uncertain as to the age. Was purchased at the estate of a 97 yr old woman. These are glass beads, the findings are encased in the glass and it has "foil" (for lack of knowledge) patterned designs on each bead. it is very reminiscent of the colors used in a Steuben blue Aurene vase I use to own. So I am hoping someone might have an idea of what these are called? Is it possible that this was a pattern made on foil then laid on the glass.(newer)...because there are definite edges to each pattern.

thank you for any assistance. Been searching for about 3 days with no luck to find even a piece similar.

    Agree. Dichroic glass.

This is a newer piece. And almost certainly produced in the last 20 years.

I have noticed that there is a quality difference in some glass being called "Dichroic". The glass on this bracelet seems to be the kind with a higher quality.

Some of my favorite earrings have similar glass, these were purchased by a friend from an artist at an art/craft show 10 years ago.

Agreed: this is nice quality and I'd think hand made. The findings look like craft type work to me, too.

It cost more than that to make the glass! Artisan made dichroic isn't cheap to do. Whoever bought that originally spent a good bit of money on it, most likely. I'd bet on it selling for a good $40 originally.

Yup, that was a steal for that price.
