    My daughter and I are dim.
    Not sure if it's melamine

    I think it might be pottery. Try searching Japanese chintz.

    Oh, and there's nothing dim about a learning experience. I'm still learning on this board every day. I'm just happy I have such folks to do it with!:)

    The crackling on the underside doesn't normally happen on melamine, does it?

    It looks like it's halfway to being mosaic bait anyway, if any of those cracks go all the way through.

    I don't see cracks. I do see crazing that is darkened possibly from butterfat. Where there is asparagus there is butter! :happy:

    And lemon juice. Or in my house, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a little sea salt. Roast until done.
