She wanted some glass for her dresser - how great is that? She's never really showed much interest in all my junk before. I just spent a half hour helping her pick out some pieces. Happy Dad!

It's terrific when the next generation finally appreciates our passion.
When my daughter bought her first house in Atlanta, we ended up renting a U-haul truck and driving down a bunch of furniture. She did a good job mixing new and antique and I'm really glad she wanted some of the family pieces.

Thanks all, it certainly felt wonderful to see her take a real interest in the history and beauty of the pieces, and want them to be in a prominent place in her room. I'm sure all of his here relate to sharing that feeling with others, and I just discovered it's really great to share it with your child :)

My daughter takes a big interest in our favorite clocks. When she married 10 yrs ago I wanted to gift her something that would mean the world to her that no one could replicate so with a heavy heart I gifted her a very nice train station regulator clock that had extreme sentimental value to my husband and I that she had been hinting at much of her life. The marriage has gone wonderfully and the clock is the center of attention in her living room but we still miss it!!!!!
