    toomanytocount Boredom is a sin.

I like your links, you are in the right ball park, some are much more expensive depending on where it is sold. As previous poster said, yours may be 'inspired by' and more recent as I also hinted, so, maybe send photos to an auction house, they don't mind helping for free.
The poor glass surfaces seem odd to me, never seen that kind or deterioration before, don't know what it means. I own really old glass vases, over 100 years, some opaline, and they do not have that problem, they will have some water marks on the inside if used with water for flowers.

    Hi,
Mix up a batch of Plaster of Paris and use that instead of glue. It will hold better and just wipe off the excess. I have always used it to attach metal to glass.

Excuse the intrusion, but I was wondering about the details of the Plaster of Paris mixture. Is there any specific brand that you use or do you make your own? How thick of a mixture do you use?

The reason I am asking is that I have several perfume bottles that the collars have come away from the glass bottle. I was told to get some dental plaster, but have not found a source for just a small amount.

You'd not get anything like that for the bottle in the UK, even perfect. :( You might try cerium oxide paste.

    Hi,
I just use what ever is available or on sale. I make a slurry of plaster and water until it is thick as sour cream and then apply it to the metal part and set it on the glass. It will harden very quickly. I then wipe off the extra that squeezes out on top and bottom. Let it sit for a hour or so and clean off any haze that remains.

I'll send the pictures to a couple of auction houses this week.
I'm curious as to what they think it is.

I think you mean this piece?

That's the only thing I found on your search.
I think you're suggesting it's not opaline but pressed glass?

Yes that's true. I just couldn't really find more examples that fast. But I think it's kind of the same thing.
