Can any one ID any of these items? (Vases/containers)

    Hi, I’m new to collecting and would like any and all info on metal types, origins, common things to keep in mind, ect. These are are couple purchases I’ve made recently.

    Your 4 metal ones are chinese cloisonne vases. The other two look more modern but need better pics.

    I assume you know your wooden-cased knives are Japanese as well?

    Thanks Debora, yeah there are stamps on the knives that say made in Japan. I forgot to mention the black floral pots have made in chinois stamps also.

    The black and red brass goblet is from India around 1960's

    Agree, probably from Kashmir in the northwest.

    The black porcelain vases with coloured flowers are Chinese famille noir. Probably fairly recent. Could we see the bases?

    Do the knife cases have chopsticks as well? If so, the (Western) name for those is trousse. For more info we would have to see the contents first.;)

    Re the knives... bought one in Japan in the 1960s once.

    The black vases have a stamp one has english and chinese and the other just chinese, I will take a photo soon.

    Knives dont have chop sticks I found these separately in a cutlery box, will take photos of blades also.
