Recent Chinese made home decor. Similar to the wooden Chinese headrests or 'pillows' in the shape of babies.

Makes sense. I know I’ve seen similar stuff, I just couldn’t remember where. I thought she might be Thai. All I kept finding was yoga kitties. Lol.

Here these carvings are sold as Chinese.
But as we know, both China and Bali will copy anything.;)

Sweet, aren't they. And they are very well carved too.

Whoever carved your girl was depicting a Chinese girl, btw. Traditionally, Balinese children never wore shirts, and the girls never wore their hair parted in the middle with two pigtails or buns on either side of the head. That is a Chinese thing. Balinese toddlers were naked, often with a little pubic shield pendant. When they were old enough to wear clothes, they would get a sarong. The girls' hair would either be worn loose, or pulled back into a ponytail that was pulled loosely through part of the hair, creating a loop. And Balinese have bigger eyes.;)
