chinese/japenese? trinket box

    hi all.have this I think trinket box and have no idea if its japenese or chinese?.is it shaped as a volcano which would point me to Japan.i wont get started on the Mark's to the bottom.all in all totally clueless,grateful for any help at all.many thanks 20200825_233312.jpg 20200825_233422.jpg

    I can't see enough detail in the characters to know what they say, but I can say this is very likely a Chinese mark. This particular shade of green is called celadon.

    Actually, I couldn't clarify them either, @Bakersgma!! Wait.....I DID just try De-saturating them a little bit to see if it would clarify them a bit more........ duuuuh.....helps if I re-upload it!! Nah, don't think it did......
