Copper Bowl Persian?

Hi All,
I've had this piece for several years and thought I had asked about it here but can't find my post if I did - apologies if double posted.
The bowl is 7" diameter x 3' high. Has text around the side, scene on the bottom, looking to find where and when it was made if possible.
any information appreciated

I dunno....the beast being ridden looks like he has feathers on the front of him....to me......but then I think they're all a bit strange looking too!! Did you eyeball what looks like the feet on the rider????

 

Maybe someone needs to wake @Any Jewelry up from her nap????

 

Don’t think theres anything on his foot, it’s a leaf. Think the feathers are an impression of the lions mane. Very quirky but I really like it.

 

Oh. I thought it was an OWL!

Very charming bowl, cx. I agree with Persian. Looks like brass instead of copper to me. Maybe that is because I am still half asleep after being rudely awakened by @Aquitaine .

Polish residue? Do you mean that greyish-whitish stuff? That is just where someone polished it and didn't remove the polish from the engraved bits.
You can wash it off. Or leave it, if you like the definition the white gives.
