Cast metal cowboy seated

I was wondering if this cast metal cowboy was part of a train set, city or something else.

 

Can we see him from a few other directions? To his right/our left it looks like the "porch"? railing is incomplete and the floor boards just 'stop.' What does the underside look like?

 

AND a better view of what's on his vest. A sheriff's star?

 

No markings, it was in thrift store and other customers had some of the same pieces in their baskets. Apparently it was a big donation. Yes part of the rail is missing, weird that about 4 people had these pieces in their baskets, I would have grabbed all of them to complete the set.

 

So there was some kind of building/set he was part of? Definitely the sheriff and not a cowboy.

What I wanted you to show was the places where this piece would have attached(?) to other parts. Mostly to see if it looked like a professional or commercial set or whether it appeared to be a one-off by some handyman.

 

Maybe for a G gauge train set.

 

What year do you think ?

 

I've no clue.
Seems like every one of those ever made were 'Iron Horses' and Western themed.
