Help concerning age of a bentwood chair

    I am recaning a bentwood chair for someone and noticed it had the following stamped in the wood on the inside of the seat
    24 v
    J & J Kohn
    Vienna Austria

    I had done some research on the company but was wandering if anyone could help me determine when the chair was manufactured.

    J & J Kohn worked during the Vienna Secession period, ca 1900, and in the Secession Wiener Werkstätte. If you have to recane it, it is best to do that in exactly the same way.

    Late 19th to early 20th century. They were the main competitors to the better known Thonet Co.
