Any idea who this guy is? He’s an elephant.

Couldn’t leave him and chance him literally being trash. Former owner was British. Guessing it’s the first decade or few of the 20th century? British, German, American?

    I can't see the back seam very well, but when I click and enlarge your picture, it appears to have been hand stitched......I'm thinking home made......

    The eyes seem too big for him, but a small child would love him under any conditions.

    Just my opinion....wait for others............

    I had a teddy bear made the same way - same shape (without trunk, of course), same size (appears), same furry fabric, same button eyes - late 1950s. The hand stitching on the back is just to close the opening where the stuffing was put in.

    Ah so the button eyes are a bit of a red herring. As soon as I posted this the fabric started looking like maybe it was later than I thought. Sometime I see stuff in the photos here I didn’t see before posting.

    Maybe! I thought he looked familiar. That would make sense since it was huge in the UK.
