Hi, I have this very large heavy ceramic bowl with lots of red-crested cranes on both sides of the bowl and it is signed, can anyone perhaps provide some more info about this item for me please. The dimensions are 46cm wide by 10cm high.

@Jack James , I really love this, it's beautiful, but I cannot provide more info.
Others can, though, please let them weigh in.

If you would please return to click "Full Size" on the top of your pictures posting, we can all see it easier and not have to get seasick clicking back and forth. Thank you.

Your mark is upside down. You might find it on gotheborg.com if you click on Chinese marks on the left menu. Probably Qianlong Nian Zhi.

    Lovely bowl, Jack.
This way around.;) It is a Qianlong mark, as Janet said. Unfortunately it is not of the Qianlong period, but it is an 'honorific mark', used as a tribute to the period of an emperor who was the greatest patron of the arts of the Qing dynasty.

Jack, try to edit your post and when you scroll down to the photographs part, the first icon lets you select either "Thumbnail" or "Full Size" to post your pictures in.

    thousand crane Motif.
Many marks on chinese porcelain are apocryphal so please do not trust to much on marks
and The pics are much too small and showing no details closeup. would you like to upload photos in which we can see details better ?.

Yah, I suggested that too Rec, although the edit feature doesn't stay active forever, so it may be too late for OP to simply edit the original post. Really, may not be much more can be said about it if it is a piece made as an honorary piece, in honor of.
