    Hi all,
this belongs to a friend, I'm so lost with jewelry I have no idea.
No marks on this, a magnet doesn't stick to it. would this be turquoise? The stone are very shiny, maybe a shellac finish on them, not sure if they did stuff like that? Maybe an artisan piece?
    any information appreciated.
    thanks for looking:)

    No.
Not sure it is stone. Looks like glass with that high shine.

    Interesting piece.

No clue either but it looks like silver with fused glass jewels. Agree it’s very attractive.

Definitely glass. The metal would need to be tested to be sure.

Agree that the metal must be tested.

Really nice, and I agree with glass for the 'stones'. The metal could be pewter, but it is best to have it tested, as said by the others.

Very cool piece, agree w/others about testing the metal. Looks 1960s or so. Reminds me in style of some of the 60's Renoir/Matisse pieces, but not thinking this is from that company. Or a bit of a Nordic vibe, maybe?? If it winds up being sterling I'd check if the hook was possibly replaced, you'd almost expect some kind of mark on this if sterling.

    Really pretty.

I doubt that it’s 60s and if we’re playing guessing games I’d go US or somewhere Nordic too. I could certainly be wrong but my understanding is that fused art glass barely existed in the 60s. That was the very start of the American studio glass movement which was pretty much influenced by Italy and IMO there’s nothing Italian about that piece.

I really think it’s American studio glass and would place it no earlier than 70s and easily later.

Looking closer I don’t think it’s silver either and wondering if it’s a newer costume piece but pretty regardless.

It's spatter glass, which has been around for a fair old time. Some of those cabochons are very like Welz glass.

the metal is just metal, silver in colour only, very nice looking piece in person:)

I bet it looks good on. A local upscale consignment store would probably put a big whack on it and take $30 when the dust settled. No idea what the seller had on it.
