I was wondering if anybody has any input on the bedroom set.

Thank you. I picked them up to refinish for my guest room. I just wanted to make sure I didn't stumble upon the deal of the century.

Although this era of walnut and mahogany furniture usually contains very well-constructed examples, the value is unfortunately minimal.

It is very sturdy and there are just a few rough patches. I plan on using restore a finish on the tops and drawer fronts and probably painting the case.

I have seen painted examples of that style done with some spectacular results. GOOD LUCK! on your project.

Welcome! Please post “after” photos when you’re done! They are always interesting to see. I don’t like the idea, generally, of painting wood, but when it’s done well to the right piece, it can make a huge difference and make an unwanted piece popular and usable again.

Truthfully I am not usually a huge fan of painting a piece either. I am hoping my vision plays out.
