I've just been throwing these to the side over the years most of it is obvious what they are but there's some whatisits I'd really like to see if there's anything in here someone recognises maybe makers, age,or what they were used for? Either way I thought I'd throw these up here just to show this junk off.. I know you will need closer pics to tell what somethings are so just let me know which ones and I'll load them up.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Oh my goodness, I see at least three pins that I really like.

I can't help with identification but . . . I'll be waiting with bated breath for the "jewelry" people to respond to your post. ;)

I'm really curious of the stick/hat? Pin in the 1st and 3rd photo the one that is like a curved hollow thistle, but obviously others too.
I just realized I asked about the love knot chain years ago, but can't find the post anyehere.

    I won't....
R those small gems in between the knots on that necklace......it';s a looker !

& a larger look at the big blue stone brooch would be welcomed..!

Oh...& if I took a handfull of items tossed over the years into my favorite drawer...
they would pale by comparison to whats here !!!!
    :hilarious:

    1. Both appear to be Victorian
    2. Man's stud or cuff link, early 1900s
    3. Appears to be Black Hills Gold.

Would like to see the bracelets photo side shot for the designs. Might be Victorian.

    Hi,
I had to laugh at Marie's love knot chain. I am an old boy scout and said it's a square knot.

    1. Are those garnets or rubies? This might be worth taking to a jeweler for a look see.
    2. 1940s costume
    3. A pin or buckle back. Custume guessing without seeing the back 1930-50s.
    4. Hat pin, most likely 1940s costume.
    5. Belt buckle or pin?

So here are the request pics, hopefully I didn't miss anyone's? The love knot chain breaks down into 3 pieces I'm assuming it's multi functioning pretty sure the stones are just garners I've hit them with a UV light with no results before. The big blue stone looks like a buckle to me but what do I know, also on one of the bracelets I just noticed a mark that reads A.C.co if that helps? I've got so much of this stuff laying around, like literally 12 large flat rate boxes full these were just the ones that caught my attention in one way or another..[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Just noticed the bracelet in pic 5 the one on top has D.B.& co faintly marked on the inside.

I think the one you see as A C Co may actually be A & Co. with the ampersand being of the old style - a capital script E with little lines from top and bottom.

Under the loop that little line in the middle of that C isn't there, for what ever reason its only in the pic maybe a glare or scratch.?

Hard to say - as I said "may." I just reacted to what the camera showed. You should try both possibilities just in case.

Thanks for the Knotty...( naughty..?) chain pics.
At 1/20 12K gold filled.....I would still think there's a chance the stones are real...

I don't know if their are any rubies don't glow under the UV light but I'm pretty sure they are either glass or garnets, I do lean on the garnets side though under the loop I'm pretty sure I'm seeing inclusions.

Instead of starting another thread and not to hijack my own post but came across this hidden in the back of the drawer the rest of this stuff came from. At first glance I thought oh this is just a piece of cheap costume newer of course, but then I got to looking at it and it looked like someone set uncut diamond chips in the settings and there us a single B marked on the clasp. Now I just need to find my diamond tester...but they are tiny I may not be able to get a good reading if I can't test with out hitting the posts. Has anyone ever heard of jewelry with uncut raw stones? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Just goes to show how naive I am when it comes to jewelry.
