Before I sell it cheap, is this cake stand anything special? Moulded glass. And heavy!

    Ta!

I'm in England, so it may well be one of our mass market things. Thank you very much for having a look.

Yours is marked "France" at 6:00 in your first pic. I sold a big oblong bowl in this pattern, but I never was able to ID the company. I guessed is was Arcopal / Arcoroc / Cristal D'Arques / Durand, etc. (although, aren't they all the same company now?).

And just curious: Is it two pieces glued together - a cereal bowl and large platter? The lady who bought my bowl really loved the pattern, and I told her I'd be on the lookout for any other pieces.

thanks for pointing out the France designation UncleChuck. I'm seeing different forms of this design offered as 'Pineapple and Star' but no listing mentioning a maker. Only hope seems to be that maybe some day someone may find a label or a box, or something to name the maker.

How on earth did I miss that! Well done you. It's definitely made as a single piece. A Durand company is very feasible. It was in a plain brown box when I got it, so that's no help.

Thanks - My bowl was also on a bowl-pedestal, and I couldn't remember if it was joined or molded. I couldn't find my pics of the one I sold, but here's a matching piece on Etsy:

I happened across the mark while washing my bowl. The molded word was raised just enough that I felt it with my finger, even though it was located in one of the pattern grooves. I doubt I would have noticed it otherwise.
