    2nd half 19th century

    I'm guessing walnut or hickory. It doesn't really have a "style" as such; the ladder back form goes back centuries.

    Think James is pretty much spot on. I would think more toward mid 19th century than late due to the way the rockers are attached. Nice to see a genuine antique ladder back for once.
