Sat in my mother's house and would be interesting if anybody can shed any light on designer, age and value?

More pictures are needed please. Turn to the side, and one of the bottom. Use full image when you load them.

    Measurements would help as well.
    Thank you.

Thanks for feedback. Vase is about 30cm tall. Unfortunately do not have picture of side but attached markings on bottom. Thanks again.

Welcome, Ian. It's really difficult to tell from just one picture but I don't think I'd classify it as majolica. Reminds me more of German pottery from the early 1900's. If not for the bottom I would have guessed mid-century or newer Germany because of the colors. But most mid-century German pottery has some kind of manufacturer's mark. Having only numbers would indicate an earlier piece. Another possibility is Belgium but very little of their output is documented. Better pictures might help but I rather doubt it. Many of these unmarked pieces are very difficult to pin down. Someone may be along who knows this type of pottery better than me.

That was my thought as well.
Don't know about Majolica, I would have thought yes. But I'm not a pottery person.

    Wait for other opinions.

Full image is better. You need to resize your pictures to 400x600 or is it 800?

Thanks so much for the responses and advice so far. Also just realised that I attached picture of back not front.....doh!

Hopefully this picture may give more clues?

If you go to the link clutteredcloset49 posted it will tell you how to make the photo larger instead of the little numbnail size :)

Well, it kinda looks like majolica except for the white base. I agree with Don, not British. Bit of a puzzler.

I wonder if this might fall under barbotine rather than majolica. I think the decoration may be applied.

Thanks Don. I think the Barbotine call may be a good one. It would be great to know the maker but from what you and others say this may be tricky.
