Looks like something made in some guy's garage...

  1. I know it probably wasn't made in some dude's garage because it does have a mark on the outer part of the band (which i thought strange). But this big, 1.5" long ring is just odd looking. It looks homemade, amateur-ish, old AF, or unfinished...and the mark...the mark on this thing is strange. I can't tell if I'm looking at it upside down, right side up, whatever. Maybe like 2 marks together? What's it made of? Under the loupe, I dont see any verdigris. Time period? What are your thoughts? Thanks guys! 20201017_202934.jpg 20201017_201139.jpg 20201017_201156.jpg 20201017_201522.jpg 20201017_201120.jpg

It looks "Brutalist",the metal would need to be tested for content. The marks looks like they were cast into the ring.

  3. Ah, brutalist...I'll have to look up more about that. Thank you for giving me some place to start! The style looks a little archaic to me, but maybe that's the point. Can you/anyone make out the mark?

Not a clue. This sort of work was big in the 70s and late 60s. I'd personally classify it as "Deadhead silversmith" work, or shed work.
