How Old Is My Watch?

Hello,
I'm hoping someome may be able to help me with the age of this little watch please. It was left to me by my Grandma. It has no hallmark that I can see but the case looks like the colour of rose gold.
I think it says audemars on the face of the watch.

I think th watch people will be along to look at this. I bet they will want a close up of the watch face.

Can you open the back? Inside it would be marked for gold if it is gold.

 

Audemars would be a good thing. I can't date it but the styling is Art Deco (1920s-1930s.) The company does authenticate their watches should you wish to take that step.

Like Marie Forjan said, can you open the back to see if there's a good marking? Sure looks like it.

Unfortunately, it seems like women's watches are much less likely to sell than male watches...though I'm sure that depends in part on who the maker is. But if nothing else (and if it is gold), you can scrap the gold.

 

Agree re resale value of vintage women's watches. I was hoping the OP was going to wear it, if only occasionally. Such a sweet thing with, at the very least, sentimental value.

It's a luxury brand. But women's vintage watches from the 1960s more desirable than earlier.

Thanks everyone. I think I will get it cleaned up and as Debora suggests I will wear it occasionally I will let you know if there is a hallmark inside the back case.

This watch was made around the 30s, and then it was fashionable to make a similar shape. I understand that the watch strap is not left, or did you change anything in this watch? By the way, I think that such watches are costly so that you can sell them on eBay for a lot of money, but it seems to me that this is a family heirloom that should be passed down from generation to generation. Since my hobby is collecting watches, I recently bought a couple of vintage models. However, I would certainly like my grandmother or grandfather to leave such a thing.
