Meissen tureen and car ashtray

hi. More help please! I think these are real and I love them but no idea as to days . I cannot find another ashtray with butterflies . I did find a blue and white. Any help appreaciated.

Bobs, I saw that blue & white one, too. The description said it was from a "Veteran", although I don't know how they know that(?) I'm not a car person, but I looked up the "Veteran" & saw that it was an early 1900's automobile made by the Jeffery Motor Company.

Besides questioning how they know it's from a Veteran, I'm wondering how to know it's from an automobile at all. Is there a specific holder, or a place in these old cars where an ashtray would go?

Sorry - more questions than answers! Maybe an old car buff could help?

 

Thank you SBSVC..now I know what kind of car. The cars must have had a latch that the metal hanger on the back would slide into and removed to empty the ash tray.
Could anyone date the tureen and the ashtray ?
They do look to have age and be authentic but really appreciate your knowledge and input

I have no idea if the info is correct, but the description says:
dating to the mid 19th century, and all hand painted in a Rothschild style pattern

I'd think if you can date the mark on the ashtray, you could likely pinpoint the auto era. Surely these were made for very nice automobiles.
