Unfortunately my google search is dominated by Georgina Klitgaard which had a very similar style. Thought it was interesting as it had a very old light attached. Seems to be painted on a board. The back had cardboard which I removed.

I'd say that's pretty definite!!!! It looks like the painting was done on the rough side of masonite....to me...wait for others to chime in....

There's a Danish artist named Alfred Klitgaard, but his work all seems to be other mediums and doesn't seem like a match.

Did you try putting quotation marks around your search term. This will tell your search engine to use the exact phrase.

Thank you all! I think Alfred was more woodwork than painting. Is someone at least able to give a date range of when the peice was likely executed given the medium?

Did you take the photo inside your car? The odd shadowy rectangle at the top looks like a reflection of a rear view mirror. Or is it actually part of the painting?

Could be the California desert. Could be somewhere else.

The trees appear to be planted across from each other, so maybe an oasis or golf course or resort.

Yes this is most likely California. Since I purchased it there

Ah. Well, then it's likely the Coachella Valley. (And knowing the painting was found in California would have been helpful to learn in your initial post.)

There was a Danish-born Anders Klitgaard living in Los Angeles in the 1910 census who gives his occupation as "painter." That doesn't, of course, mean artist but could.

ancestry.com has information about the Klitgaard family of Los Angeles but it is only accessible via membership. His granddaughter's obituary includes mentions that she loved art so may have been a family with artistic sensibility.
