    Hi all,
this is up for sale on a local on-line 24 hour auction with a starting bid of $75.00CDN, they say 14K (tested by them), weight is 2.2grams. no marks, no other photos, woven hair in the front under the glass. I can't get in to see it before the auction ends.
I'll probably bid - do you think the style of ring has age? Victorian time period? I have bought from this person before, they have nice stuff sometimes, but have been caught fibbing on metal purity. I suck at figuring out what age from style with jewelry, so any information or thoughts is appreciated
    thanks for looking:)
edit to add 2 photos they just sent me - I've circled an area that looks to have wear to maybe gold plate or maybe someone tested for gold purity? I might just bid and if I win I can have a better look and not buy it. Around here I'm pretty sure I will be the only bidder

lol, thanks komokwa, you are probably right:) I have a ton of boxes here still to go through, but I'm so bored/weary of not going out to thrift stores all these many months (as I'm sure many of us are) that I'm willing to jump at this just to go have a better look - I know it sounds crazy:)
as for fish, I had Halibut tonight, it was delicious:)

They haven’t worked very hard to get decent photos have they!.
I’m a bit cynical and think some photos are deliberately slightly dark or fuzzy to hide a multitude of sins. Especially if it’s it not hallmarked it would be a real gamble. I can’t even see what colour the stone is from those photos!(obviously black if it’s mourning, but it could be anything)

my bad, you say it has woven hair but impossible to see condition.

thanks KSW, I agree about the photos:) The stone isn't stone, it is glass with woven hair underneath or so they say, so hard to tell without good photos

lol, the seller gets a little testy at times, someone asked about the hair:)

My eyes didn’t see your description about it being woven hair until I went back and read it properly!.
Still think the photos are deliberately evasive.

It is a lovely ring, but like you I am very suspicious about it being solid gold. The spots you marked look like loss of plating.
I tweaked two photos, hope it helps:
