This will be maybe a mile from my house, and this company never advertises the jewelry. They've also been known to give away gold, so I'm going. But.... can anyone spot anything good in the photos? I think most of the "silver" is plated but this bunch misses stuff; they sold me a Baccarat ruler for $2 this Summer.

Those sewing patterns were $$$ new but the resale's not there; and used patterns are pretty much packing material. They probably have the Quimper priced into the stratosphere with the furniture.

    Nada

I wouldn't be going if it was next door

There is something inherently wrong with anyone being on .org instead of .net

The best bet with patterns is VOGUE Designer and not all.

I saw several things Id buy ,like the dollhouse (of course) the stained glass thing and the folding screen . Is Quimper still a thing ? Id go and walk through, often they have many things they dont photograph .

The spaghetti animals are down from years ago and they need to be perfect... I think the lovely cat might be missing the bow for the violin.

The stained glass piece is so interesting, that is what catches my eye first, but difficult to resell unless it is somehow meant to hang rather than be installed and even if so, very hard to ship. Reminds me of a crazy quilt and would love to see what the whole thing looks like.

If some of those silver colored pieces are sterling might be worth carefully checking. I agree with Johnny that these sales often have things they don't photograph so best of luck! If that was one mile from my house I'd be going.

If you feel they made a mistake with that, maybe they will make other mistakes??

The .org site is the main one in my area, estatesales.net is deadsville. Not a mistake. The company running the sale does mostly higher end moving sales instead of true estate sales. One guy does the old rummage-style estate sales; those are the FUN ones. This company's are more of a chore.

Used to be, but as someone else said this one's damaged. Worth zilch to me.

What? It's the extension; apparently the website is a technical nonprofit or something. It's the main one used here for professionally run estate sales.

The top of the room divider. Probably crazy money originally, knowing this company. Me, I live in a 3-bedroom ranch of no great distinction. (LOL)

Three listings within 100 miles for all dates and none of them are estate sales.

.net is the one for most of the country

Better going to a poorly advertised sale, no?

Provided there was anything to advertise. .net around here is just estate auctions and those tend to go sky high.

Good luck if you go, here's my observations:

Photo 21: interesting painting and frame worth further investigation

Photo 40: Worth checking out. Obviously possibly plated, but cool detail and possibly a sneaky silver mark somewhere on it, perhaps german 800 silver

Photo 42: looks plated but the bottom tray is more promising looking than the bowl

Photo 43: Looks plated, but worth investigating. Would expect marks on the bottom or the inside of the handle.

Photo 94: looks to be a common plated pattern but worth flipping around a fork or spoon to confirm

Photo 102: to the naked eye most likely all plated but I would flip over the small bowls and the teapot on the right

Photo 108: all looks plated, but the same bowls worth a look

Photo 120: the pile of unorganized flatware could be promising. Hard to say without a closer look

I've found ooopsies in the random flatware before. You said pretty much what I was thinking; thanks for the confirmation. The filigree piece in 40 looks like it has some odd discolorations on it, but you never know.

They just released the address this morning. I can see the house from my house! Talk about a short commute. I never knew the people who lived there, but that house hasn't sold in a long time. That's always good for a picker.

Someone else got to the flatware before I did. There was one sterling spoon. Some demi-tasse spoons had me wondering, but they felt like silverplate. Stiff, and had a mark that looked like it meant Silverplate. At least I hope it was plate. I did end up with the filigree dish; it's 800 silver. Never saw the bowls. The painting was nothing much up close.

I did score some brocade in the basement, but it cost me. Found a resin belt buckle too, made as part of a costume. The owners had made costumes for the Shubert.
