I've been buying stuff out of this case in a mall near Cape Cod since I was a young kid (40ish years). I bought it today, mostly for sentimental reasons but also the fact that it was super cheap in a liquidation sale.

Came with the original key too!
Needs a little touch up paint and I'll replace the electrical cord and lamp fixture.

Are you going to use it for display at home?

I think my wife has claimed it for her razor blade collection, which has outgrown the case it's in.
This case was a fountain pen display with a diagonal shelf, I'll have to rig a horizontal shelf for it.

I strongly suspect that it is a Susie Cooper design. Her early Grays stuff was often not attributed and that tureen screams her name.

I hit my local GW today....The glass I'm very happy with .....the monkey.....well I don't like monkeys.....but after passing it up 4 times.....it jumped in my arms....& HELD ON !!!:hilarious::eek::eek:
I'm :shame::shame::shame: to even show it.....but y'know...it's got something going on..!

It's heavy & reasonably large....12 to the tail by 9 across.

    It's a Chinese gift item......right ?......for $10.

Now the glass vase.....at 7 1/6 x 5 1/4....is very heavy.....so nice in the hand....clear as day...and throws off so many shadings and designs from the deep cuts...that it sparkles....even though my photo's are lame !
Anyone know the maker......& at $7.50...it don't matter much cuz I love it ..:happy:

Now, now Bakersgma, at least he's not a baboon/mandrill that looks like he is in need of a big bucket of anesthetic salve all over his behindy. I actually feel "sympathetic pain" seeing those in real life or in photos.
