Featured Pretty little Schild & Co. guilloche enamel clock with rhinestone numbers

    I picked this up at my local church thrift shop this morning. It's 2 1/2" by 3 1/2"
    It works!
    How old do you think it is?
    Do you think the black feet and frame around the dial are onyx?
    It is filthy, filthy! I know I can't really clean it, but what is safe to use to try and get the grime and dust from around the numbers?

    I agree, classic Deco. Old toothbrush with a wee bit of window cleaner spray on it won't hurt, done gently. Nice bit of engine turning.

    HA!!! SO am I.....My keyboard died for UNKNOWN reasons last night.....happened to have a new one sitting in the basement, which has saved me, but I HATE this one!!!

    Rather than a toothbrush, I would start with a q-tip and some gentle jewelry cleaner. It is beautiful! What a great find.

    Those look like quartz crystals. I wouldn't use any solvent to clean it.

    LOVELY!!!!!!
    First, dry soft brush to get rid of the dust\grime! Then no harm done with a windows cleaner or alcohol dampening a clean soft brush for the numbers areas, on a tissue for the enamel, finally sunshine cloth on the metal parts:) and it will glow:woot:
