    Hi all,
I was wondering if someone could tell me anything about these.
Found these in the book section of my goodwill. In this old leather snap folder. pat date on the snap is 1903. There are 8 packages of different prints 5.1/2" x 8" total of 152 in all. I found a few selling on the bay for around $2.00 to 10.00 each..
If i sell should i sell them as a lot or break them up into categories?

    Mikey..

I also just found some ads from earlier years, going back to the late 1890s. Because these are in black and white I think you might do better selling them as a lot. Maybe they could be used for research purposes?

I wonder why the inside folder says "Florence." Those certainly aren't pictures or or from museums in the Italian city.

It's the outside of the folder and i'm assuming the lady who owned the folder.

Oh. I thought the first picture showing the dark green "box?" was the overall covering of the "Florence" folder. What's the green thing then?

Educational reproductions when photography became more widespread, lithography more affordable. Used in schools. G.P. Brown & Co. brings up information on internet.

The green is on the inside flaps of the folder. i'm thinking the whole thing used to be green.

There's a chance the collection might include "lost" pictures. You'd have to check them one by one to see. If there are any, they might be of special interest.

Some famous paintings walked off during WWII. This folder may have been a school prize.
