That's just the way it appears. There isn't lettering but rather it's the design. That's why, to me it looks like part of a horse mane.
    Thanks for responding :)

Puzzling because looks like a modern Chinese import. The design appears to be based on Raphael's angels which became widely popular in the 1990s.

Does this one enhance it any better??? I just don't see a horse's head or mane.....sorry.....

Ya know Aquitaine, it enhances it in some sort of way. But it's still hard to tell what it is...

Also it is not in any way that dark

I can see it’s not that dark.....was just trying to give it enough contrast to bring out the potential signature or image, that’s all........

I think I will give it a bit before I go and put it up for auction... I think it's quite unique and might catch an angel eye or two :angelic::angelic:

More like Thing Dynasty, methinks. Definitely eye catching, but how would you go about describing it?

'Colorful.' I keep thinking it's Wynken & Blynken without Nod. 'Where are you going & what do you wish? the old moon asked the two'

Size? Looks like you are meant to pour from it, so not cologne/perfume. Bath oil, something that way?

Bath oil, I agree that seems more feasible considering the size of the opening:)
