Cast iron bird & nest. Is it old or newer? TYIA

    Approx 6 3/8” x 4 1/2” wide. I can’t find anything like this I can’t make out if this is newer or... would you think it’s a door stop? It’s so friggin heavy

    Hi,
    With the "reddish" rust I say newer. Old rust is black. Black rust is Ferrous Oxide. Red rust is Hydrated Ferric Oxide and is newer.
