    The information I have on Specialty includes an early catalog, nothing similar to engraved glass is shown. I have no knowledge of them having done any cutting or engraving.

    I have a book at the store on Westmoreland Glass. Not sure but I believe it was published by Collector Books, can't remember the author.

    I'll have to try to remember to look at it tomorrow. I'm 95% positive that they did cuttings. Not as Westmoreland, but as Specialty Glass Company.

    At least according to the book I have.

    The only Specialty Glass I have information on, was in East Liverpool, Ohio form 1892 to 1898 when it burned. It did eventually become Westmoreland Glass. Specialty make packers wares.

    Darn it forgot to look at the book. Busy day lots of people out for Veteran's day.

    @dgbjwc
    The first chapter I believe shows pictures of glass done by Specialty Glass Co.

    Can you look and see if they did indeed do Amber cut to clear glass.
    Thanks.

    I went through my book but couldn't find any information at all on the Specialty Glass Co. making cut glass. Westmoreland, of course, did but I can't many references to Specialty Glass Co. products. I could have missed it.

    I've been trying to tell you, Specialty made cheap pressed glass, copied a few pieces, (pressed goblets)no blown wares, no cutting, no engraving, too much skill involved. Spec Bleeding heart goblet-1.jpg

    They did make some pattern glass, Spec No 100 set-1.jpg

    Well sometimes you just have to hit me over the head to make me understand. Sorry.

    Thank you. Was any of the Westmoreland cut to clear?

    Maybe it was a different book.
    Writing myself a note to look for the book tomorrow.

    Oh, yes. There are some beautiful cut glass pieces in amber done by Westmoreland in the book.
