    Hello..

No markings found on this beautiful necklace.
Can't find by description or image search.
Anyone ever see this type before? Stones are glass.
    Thank you

No markings, and too new for me to know much. This is probably fairly recent, some time in the last 10 years, and made to resemble the old ones. The chain and clasp are both newer and the metal is too.

As ebelyb30 said, new, made to look old. Very pretty.

Don't know if this will help, but I recently bought one very similar (minus the interwoven gold chain). The picture in the listing didn't show the dangle, and it looked so much like the old construction of these necklaces that I took a chance on it being early 20th century.

I was so surprised to see a J. Crew tag on it when I received it in the mail. It was much better constructed than I expected for J. Crew. The setting of the clear glass dangles on your necklace is exactly like the necklace I purchased (though the clasp is different).

I've got some J Crew bits - not bought at retail, of course. They're really rather well made.

Oh sorry, my store is closed now, and I don't have a pic of my necklace. I need to remove that link from my signature.

LOL, I forgot that I would still have a picture from the listing that I bought it from..

You can't see it in these pictures, but the glass "stones" have the same exact deep setting that is on your necklace.

I would call it a riviere necklace, just for a descriptive word. Collet is another word that applies.

I think J. Crew is a good bet for this.

For a while around 2000 (I think) J. Crew came out with some truly beautiful pieces with a nod to designer vintage plus a modern twist. I remember a group of interesting necklaces at my local thrift 2 years ago and my mouth dropped open because at first I thought I was looking at designer vintage heaven.... Stunning and at first glance older, but then I saw the J. Crew tags.

But just to put in perspective, some of the quite elaborate, vintage-looking J. Crew pieces are selling high. If you Ebay search under SOLD there are J.C. necklaces SOLD in the $450 range, several more in the $300 range.

Can't say for sure this is J. Crew, but it does look new to me as well and would be a place to check.

It's certainly possible. I don't know J Crew well enough to say definitively, but I've found more than a few pieces of J Crew that are made to look like vintage pieces. The stones are too new-looking for anything trying to fake us out, but the designs sure could have been done in the 50s and 60s.
