Was given this by my great grandma who used to own an auction house. Have no idea who it’s made by as can’t remember what she said only that’s the image on the front is Crystal Palace. Taken it too many people and no one can shed any light on it, any insight appreciated!

It depicts the Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace 1851.
I have a feeling this is a piece of Staffordshire pottery.

The place burnt down in 1936.
The pottery experts will tell you more about the possible maker.

That doesn't to my eye look like the Crystal Palace as it doesn't appear to be made of glass. But I see the flag of Russia and there was a Russian exhibit.

I agree. It isn't Crystal Palace, which was pure glass, and the building outline is all wrong. It also isn't made here, imo. That moriage type decoration isn't British.

You are probably right and I'm probably wrong but in my defence,
the one pictured does have a glass roof and there are pics showing the palace festooned with foreign nations flags for the expo.
It was constructed of glass and iron.

There are many pics showing the palace photographed from different angles.

Also it was demolished and rebuilt in another location in 1852-54
