Any ideas what this tiny forward leaning vase was used for??
It pretty much fits in your hand it is so small.
    It's 10.5cm x 8.5cm x 7.5 cm high and 195grams.

    Cheers

Collecting dust?? Lovely though, & I don't often like this sort of thing. Astonishing it is in such good shape.

I really love it but . . . I am curious about whether the interior and especially the round bottom (with the maker's mark) are completely glazed?

As to esthetics, I am having a hard time thinking of a small(ish) flower blossom or a bud of a flower which could compete with and/or enhance the beauty of the vase itself. ;)

    Hi,
Are you sure it isn't for dipping your celery into salt or in my way of thinking peanut butter??:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Just kidding. It is a darling little something.

Oh my goodness, Gregsglass, I thought I was the only one who grew up with peanut butter "filling" in celery stalks. DH says it turns his stomach to see me eat that, but hey, it just means I get to eat more of it.

Growing up we often had homemade pimiento cheese filling or creamed cheese and olives filling in crunchy celery stalks. Yum yum to all of those.

These are cute but finiky things, my dear mother had several and I don't think there was a leaf left on any of them.
