So my husband and I picked up this doll at an estate sale this weekend. She is marked made in Germany and is a wind up toy. She is 901/1 according to the bottom of the box. When I got home I searched for her and you can image my surprise when when I was hit with Porn (important Lesson, never search of untranslated German).

So Muschi Ich Kann Tanzen translates to "Pussy Can Dance" surprise!

So I know she was made by Ma. E. Maar according to the makers marks, I cannot find this doll anywhere. I believe she dates to the 50's as her wind up key is plastic not metal, but I would love to learn more about her and where her name came from.

    Can anyone help?

Good morning, Adele. Unfortunately the links to your Gallery pictures cannot work for anyone by you, because your Gallery is set to Private. You should be able to change that setting and the pictures will appear here.

Sounds like you found lots of Pussies, just not the kind you were after.

    Muschi Ich Kann Tanzen.....

    " Muschi "... I can dance...
I guess that's what the wind up does...

So, can she dance? See the English & French translations don't say she knows how, more like she knows she should.

Have you had her out of the box? Wondering if the name Muschi is on the doll or her clothes anywhere. Thinking maybe there are others out there, but if unmarked for name & no longer with the box, sellers would not know this is Muschi.

Like Barbie, the basic doll seems to change clothes & move with the times.

Muschi can dance she is a wind up doll that spins in circles. The doll is marked with MMM on her neck but not her name.

I like the dancing trolls also.
