The best machine
I have ever seen
Is so far away
I thought it would stay

I then told a friend
Moving estimate he’d send
Harmless enough
No more big stuff!

When his number came in
Way low it had been
My excuse it is gone
Now I’m merely a pawn

That big monster will show up
And the wife she will throw up
My junk should be willed

I have one for Springfield. This is my 11 year old grandson's Christmas wish list. I think he's going to grow up to be just like you! Please note items 9 & 11. "Hydrolic"press and forge.

Kool! Don’t have a forge (yet) but they are nice to have. I’ll see if I can find a pic of my first hydraulic press (20 tons) which I upgraded from manual-pump only to “air over hydraulic” so you just press a valve instead of having to pump a lever. Makes a huge difference in time if you have many items to do. We since bought a “real” 25 ton press with its built-in hydraulic pump. Tell him to make sure pieces of metal that shatter in the press can’t hit anyone, I got nailed once-much like a bullet wound.

 

Bev, make sure you post videos of the eleven year old on espresso before his parents kill you

 

Does he want to test his own DNA or the DNA of the plants he plans to grow in the greenhouse - so he can splice it?

 

Heaven only knows what he's up to! He's very excited about science right now and the kid is a math whiz. He told me last night he feels sorry for the other kids in his class who can't do math as easily as he can. My husband put Ancestry DNA kit on his list so I thought that's what he wanted as well, but he has a grow light in his bedroom where he's nurturing venus flytraps and other such monsters of the plant world and he's growing oyster mushrooms from a kit in the kitchen, so I'm fairly certain he wants to be the next Brother Gregor Mendel. Hopefully, he won't go to work for some GMO company.

That still doesn't explain the hydraulic press and forge!

 

The forge and press might mean he’s a you-tube fan. There are a great many interesting and sometimes dramatic videos showing people doing both blacksmithing and crushing on you-tube. If he likes you-tube, have him look up some of the cannon-shooting videos by the wonderful, famous, brilliant, skillful you-tube star “Cannonmn.”
