Are non-Western character countries stamped in that language?

I found a gold colored jewelry piece in the shape of a crescent that looks real and it looks as if it has some Middle Eastern language character set as a carat stamp. It could be nothing but just random impressions. I was wondering if it was from a M.E. country, would they stamp it with our Arabic numbers and a K?

What about other non-Western European character sets? (It's hard to phrase this exactly correct but I think most will know what I mean).

Some countries of the Middle East mark in Western Arabic characters/numerals, the ones used in western countries. Some mark in Eastern Arabic characters, which use Arabic letters for numerals. We have had many threads involving vintage Egyptian jewellery marks using the eastern system.

And some countries do both, interchangeably! Do you have a photo?

Egypt, in North Africa, also uses Eastern Arabic numerals. And Eastern Arabic script including numerals are also used in Asian countries to the east of the Middle East.
So we can only tell you more if we see your piece of jewellery.:)
