Glassies, End of Day or other term for this

First thing i thought was it has a kind of an end of day look to it.
But someone else might have another term for this style, if it is even a style. It is 2 1/4" tall and unsigned

Not "End of Day." It's threaded (horizontal colors) then marvered, to make them flush with the surface, then a hook is pulled through them leaving the column of points. Sometimes called "pulled feather."

How does horizontal colors make it not end of day , end of day refers to the multicolored glass beads left over at the end of the day, and a vase is made with them, so i would say imo you have an end of day pulled feather vase .

 

End of day is a myth. Glass isn't left over, it ends up in the glory hole.

Different colored glass is sometimes left to cool in the fire and knocked out in huge chunks and dumped when cold. Sometimes the kiln burns out and the left over glass is then broken up and dumped. I used to have large (like a loaf of bread) pieces from the dump in my rock garden.

End of Day was a term invented by unscrupulous sellers who tried to convince buyers that the piece was a whimsy, made by workers at the end of their shift.

Today we call it spatter glass, made by picking up small broken pieces of colored glass on a crystal core, then marvering them smooth.

Any glass left in the pots at the end of a shift would be used by the next shift.

I know it's just a generic name for that type of pattern , it could have been made anytime of the day .
