    Hello from snowy New Hampshire,

I have a large and heavy Alexandrite Neodymium vase that turns from violet to blue under CFL lighting. It weighs 4 pounds and is 8" high. I found a site that describes this as a 1930s Heisey Alexandrite vase http://glasscottageantiques.com/heisey-glass/ It is not marked - perhaps it had a label long ago? I would like to know the design/model. It's really beautiful. I have one other Alexandrite vase and I love the color.

I'm here in snowy NH, too!

Let me say WOW!, as well - that is LOVELY!

I just took a look thru my Heisey book, and I didn't find your vase... :(
That doesn't mean it isn't Heisey - just that I didn't find it!

I did find one like it that sold on eBay a couple of years ago - and the seller had no idea what it was! Their title said MOSER FOSTORIA HEISEY?

I'm sure one of the glass pros here will be able to ID it for you. It certainly looks quite special!

Hi! Thanks for that link - it looks the same. It's a valuable vase no matter who the maker is, I guess!

Is there such a thing as a bad neodymium vase? :)

Tall's got it, not Heisey. Heisey did make Alexandrite, just not that shape.

The FK is probably Replacements item number.

My first thought was Moser. You might have a look there

google 'FK Lead Crystal Germany' and you'll find "FK" labels (so not a "R" invention this time). This pattern is seen in various sizes and also clear crystal. The heavy weight points to lead crystal and not Heisey glass.

I may have messed up that reply. Thanks to everyone who commented.
I have found a few clear “FK” items but no alexandrite, but I will continue to search.

OK, I know this is an old thread, but I have that exact vase, no markings either, and can't find any information on it anywhere. Was there ever a consensus on what it is and the value? I tried the links in the comments, but they were all dead now. Thanks in advance!

This one on eBay has a gold sticker that says it is made in Germany. It doesn't have the FK brand mark. (The description on that ebay listing is wrong. They are describing an amber glass bubble vase, so I have no idea of the measurements of this alexandrite glass.)

Here's an example of a plastic sticker label marked FK Made in Germany 24% genuine lead crystal.
