The artist is Granville Perkins, see the GP lower left. This is the USS Constitution in Philadelphia, the engraving was from a two volume set of books called "Picturesque America" published in 1872 & 1874.

Is that a US flag on the stern of the rowboat on the left?

Wonder whether William H. Meyers painted? Connected to Philadelphia, the Navy & made an illustrated diary.

So, do you think that's the USS Constellation? It looks enough like the USS Constitution, but she was from Boston.

Additional note: Meyers was a gunner in the US Navy. This is a gun ship, a 'ship of the line.'

She’s not the first Constellation but could be the second or the Constitution.

Yes, she would certainly be in the ‘van’.

OP's main request was name of artist. Was hoping someone else would have a thought on my suggestion of William H. Meyers. If you haven't followed the link, here's a relevant extract:

Watercolor drawings [in the diary he kept of a voyage] (one in ink wash) illustrate ships at sea, localities visited, entertainments, shipboard activities and illness at sea.
    Biographical/Historical Note
William H. Meyers (b. 1815), a native of Philadelphia, sailed on merchant vessels, worked at the U.S. Naval Laboratory in Washington, D.C., and served as a gunner in the U.S. Navy.

Right initials, right age, right city, right occupation, right avocation, sometimes painted scenes of ships. I had mindlessly been assuming print under discussion is of an oil painting. Based on above, finding ink with watercolor wash a reasonable suggestion.

    Any yeas or nays?

    Sorry. :(
I don’t know but thought that was settled up much earlier.

I thought it was a strong suggestion but because I also thought the original was oil & no evidence Meyers ever used it, did not consider it the final word. No need to be sorry, guess I should have gone by the dictum 'Silence implies consent,' instead of 'Silence implies no one wants to tell you you're off your nut.' OP has not responded, time zone delay, I imagine, else doesn't want to tell me...:):joyful:

    Maybe time zone.
I don’t understand why where people are is a profile secret.
Eventually they say anyway so why not? :(
