Featured Cow Planter

Got this in a box lot with another piece I was after and was hoping that a member here might have an idea of the maker of this cow planter and any insight on whether it is modern. I don't see any markings on it.

Joe, I think your cow creamer is adorable!

I have a collection of animal creamers, all with "pour from the mouth" spouts:

My cow is Czech:

The ram & elephant are from Japan:

The cat is from Germany:

And the moose, left to right, are from USA, Czechoslovakia & Austria:


The US moose is the only "newer" piece. The rest are 1950's or prior. They're all 3" to 4 1/2" at the tallest or widest point.

 

Especially like the moose ones but all are delightful.

Once I moved to NH, certain friends from elsewhere decided I must have some moose! (I think that passing this sign on their way to visit just may have had something to do with it):

After a turtle a turtle came to live with me, people kept giving me turtle things. Was once in the office of a hospital CEO that had various frog things all over it. I said, Let me guess; you had 2 & someone decided you had a collection & now people keep giving them to you. He said, No, I had one...

 

We had a plain old white creamer cow and I always thought it was the best thing since sliced bread when my mother put it out on the table for gatherings.

Love the elephant creamer SBVC. Never saw one like that before.
