Hi everyone and Happy New Year!

This is asking for any input at all on an item I really don't have a clue about. It was inherited and we don't know anything at all about when or where it was bought. Nothing about it seems 'precious', but at the same time it seems to have been made with care.

The colours in the first three pictures are fairly accurate. I used flash for the fourth photo, which may therefore show some details a little more clearly.

    Anyone? TIA!

It is Egyptian. A very nice example, I must say, and it looks lik it could be 1930s.
No, it is brass with ceramic beads.

Interesting. Thank you! We'd guessed this could be Egyptian based on the colours, but hadn't been able to find anything to confirm.

(I understand some "Egyptian revival" style jewellery was made in what is now the Czech Republic in the 1920s and 1930s, but that would be shiny/polished, right?)

    Similar indeed -- thanks!

Neiger is the best known from Bohemia on that. It's stylised rather than "authentic" is that makes sense.

These look like the ancient Egyptian faience tube and disc beads, but strictly speaking they are not faience.:)

Nice, kyratango (they become ancient as soon as a dealer offers them for sale, I think).

The antique ones are true faience, these are 'just' Egyptian folk art.:)
