Featured Sommerso vase - possibly alexandrite - murano?

    There were actually a pair of these at the goodwill today - but the other had significant chipping to the base as well as to the edges of the faceting(so I left it) - this one is chip free. Wondering if I should go back tomorrow and get the other one anyway...

    The inner most layer is what I suspect to be alexandrite - need to get it under some proper flourescent lighting to confirm. I'm fairly sure it's Murano but...any ideas on maker?

    8" tall, mouth is 2 1/2" wide. Weighs almost 6 pounds (5 pounds 14 oz)!

    beauty piece Aaron:) I could be way off base but looking at the cut/facets base my first thought was Moser

    I had a quick look and can't find any with the same top as yours - so probably not Moser.
