Paperweight, anyone know the maker please?

    I can't identify the maker from the etched mark, it's C..C or O. I think it has some age looking at the scratches and wear on the base. Sorry the photos are not very good, the white line is a fluorescent strip light and it's picked up the texture from the towel and canvas board I placed it upon. It's nearly 3 inches high. Thanks for any info.

    I see several on etsy and ebay advervisted as signed ciic.
    One says Caithness scottland.

    CIIG is a Caithnsess seconds mark, it didn’t make the cut.

    Thanks everyone, looking closely there are a few errant bubbles so I'm not surprised it's a second. It was a jumble buy so didn't cost much.

    Thanks for that, I couldn't find an example of the mark anywhere, probably because I thought the i's were L's

    Yup - the Caithness seconds are either acid etched CIIG or hand written as ciig.
