Hi, I've never acquired old rugs before so I'm not sure where to begin with these. They came from HBO Studios where they were used on set. Any information is much appreciated, thank you! IMG_6620.jpg IMG_6621.jpg IMG_6622.jpg IMG_6623.jpg IMG_6624.jpg IMG_6625.jpg

Interesting floor. Does it have those stars everywhere?

I know very little about rugs, but Im going to guess the 1st 2 are Chinese, maybe 1930s,maybe silk ? Now the last one I had in a square shape that I bought in Orlando from a garage sale, and the lady who was selling it told me she bought it new in the 50s . Take that with a grain of salt as you know how people can remember things incorrectly. As an aside ,I had spot cleaned mine and hung it over a porch rail to dry and asked my late partner to bring it in,and he went and pulled it off not realizing there was a nail or something sticking out of the rail and tore it right down the middle ! Bitter words were exchanged and it took me a few days to get over it . :)

    Hi,
The first two look like Art Deco Chinese rugs as Johnny stated. I had such a love of them that I had two large ones and seven smaller ones in the 1970/80s.

The third one is a hooked rug, likely machine made. Popular during the "early American" decorating phase in the post WW2 period.

Thank you, Kiko... I love wood floors but unfortunately the one on my front porch was unsalvageable, so I painted the stars on it... IMG_1614.jpg

Oh man, I've had a few moments like that myself! Luckily it's usually me making the newbie error and I don't have anyone to direct my anger towards ;) Sorry about your rug (and your partner)

Splendid job on that floor. It looks like tiled ones here.

I love the juxtapostion of an armadillo and a bubble gum machine.

The third is an oval hooked rug in an early american or "colonial" style. Nothing like the other 2. Maybe you counted wrong?

I meant the third photo, not rug, but it’s not my field anyway.
