I've coveted a piece of gripoix for years. It's often misused as a term, the real stuff is glorious.

    I like her taste.

Strictly speaking it is for the glass only, poured glass made by Gripoix. Called after a Madame Gripoix who started out in the 19th century making replicas of the expensive jewels of the French aristocracy. She developed a special technique of pouring molten glass into the setting, so it had a perfect fit and looked expensively made.
The House of Gripoix later made costume jewellery for Chanel and a few other high end fashion houses. Coco Chanel would buy authentic Byzantine and Mughal jewellery and ask Gripoix to make something similar using their poured glass technique.;) Hence the beautiful and perfectly executed designs.
    So do I.

I would like to be in on some of those Hermes silk scarves listed, I would give them to my Mom. I may try bidding. ❤️Maven

I've got two Hermes scarves, one bought new by Himself. The other was a whole five quid at a car boot!

I took two bronze stands off a neighbour's skip, with permission. Sold them for fifty. Buyer sold them on for 150. I don't know what the gallery who bought them are selling them for!
