Hi Don, I was told this was possibly Stiver, Colle val d'Elsa, Italy in a FB group. In my research about this company I ran across a thread on collectorsweekly.com from a year ago that you stated that 20thcenturyglass.com has these as Stiver, Colle val d'Elsa, Italy but I couldn't find them. It is possible that after this amount of time they longer have them or I'm looking in the wrong place on their site. Do you have any info about this company?

My original post on FB: Ok, I have a conundrum here. When I first purchased these(7) 5" Wine/Juice goblets (emerald green) this past week I was thinking maybe a Sandwich pattern but quickly ruled that out once I started my research. Then I thought Scroll by Ivima but the pictures on Replacements for this pattern are very very bad and the only Scroll by Ivima I could find online with a sticker label was a water goblet that is just a little bit different and the bottom is completely different. I did find a blue milk glass one(reminded me of Portieux Vallerythal) that was identical in pattern. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? It would be greatly appreciated. Scroll.JPG

I agree, it's very hard to make out those blurry images on "R". It may be that Ivima reproduced the pattern in those various colors.

I believe so, also Don. The one example I found similiar with an Ivima sticker had a different bottom.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information about Stiver.

That would be Ivima , George. The ones I found with Ivima stickers had a different bottom.

Ok folks I have an update. George was correct. I put these on eBay and they got a bid the first night. The person then contacted me and told me they are in fact Imiva in Portugal. They are a collector of this pattern and provided additional pictures for me. Of course I could edit the title because they bid. Would it be unscrupulous of me to cancel their bid(if I can) and end the auction and relist it correctly? :) Ivima.jpg

It's a PITA that I have every box checked on Alert Preferences and still not receiving any email notifications like I used to. :rage:

I would just let it run. If I was a bidder and you cancelled my bid to relist, I’d be pissed.

I don't think it's ethical to cancel the auction but you could do a revised description to your listing stating the correct information. That will it could still be found by someone searching for Ivima.

I've already done that Don but with Ivima not being in the title will they find the listing?

I believe so. I would suggest one further revision. If you can revise it so that Ivima is listed as the brand it should definitely work. I need to test my earlier suggestion a little more.

Don, I wasn't able to change the item specifics Brand to Ivima :( and I did a search for Ivima and my listing doesn't come up. Oh well, at least I know they will sell with the one bid. Paid $7. opening bid is/was $24.99

Sounds like you have an honest buyer (if I read correctly it was he/she sent you photos of similar to show the maker and mentioned they are a collector of that pattern?)

Can't go wrong with an enthusiastic friendly buyer.

P.S. There have been problems with alerts -- mine were off for quite a while (even though checked) but now resumed. Hopefully yours are up and running now too.

It's a miracle Lucille.b! 1st email alert I've gotten in ages. Granted the bidder informed me of the correct ID but they didn't volunteer to retract their bid so I could correct the listing :) Que sera, sera. Funny thing is, in my research, my first impression was that it was Ivima Scroll but the pictures were so bad on replacements I couldn't verify it and then I ran across Don's comment on collectorsweekly.com

Yes, the alerts are working for me, too. Love it! :)

I have to say that 99% of buyers would probably not alert the seller as to the make of the item (for reasons mentioned). I think you have an extremely honest buyer bidding here.

Also, the fact that someone has placed a bid will get some positive attention to the auction. You can always add text to the auction if you feel the need. It appears in a separate description box but does show pretty clearly. And anyone searching "title and description" will pick it up (I think). I would not close and relist. You might be stuck with no bids.

Go with your first, interested party. JMHO.

Yes, you can add to the description and it shows up in a separate box. Fingers crossed potential bidders will search description also.

Sorry, I had hoped one or the other way would work. I'm glad you're happy with the price though. Actually $24.99 doesn't look like too bad a price compared with sold listings. Good luck! Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
