Need help identify if this is real of faux fur please (type of fur?)

    The odor of burned hair and your picture of the coat where you part the hair with your fingers - make me think it's real fur.

    From the pictures it appears that the collar and body of the coat are made of 2 different furs.

    I am curious as well. I know nothing about fur I tried looking but can’t figure it out. I’d love if you gave it a shot.

    Sorry, I am not a fur person, I was just commenting on what is visible in the pictures. The body is some kind of "curly fur" while the collar is a "straight" fur.

    Agree, real fur, both the coat part and the collar. The curly fur is one of the Persian lamb type furs, could be dorsal. The other one maybe sable?

    Agree, lamb and sable or mink. If I could touch it I could tell lol. Sable is total fluff without weight. Mink has weight.
